The 2nd shift Production Supervisor will coordinate and supervise the day-to-day activities of workers on the production lines.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews production schedules to determine product quantities, specifications, and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan operations.

  • Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, processing, manufacturing and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

  • Summarizes data for daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports.

  • Maintain accurate shift log daily; capturing shift occurrences, employee’s hours, and downtimes for each line.

  • Reviews edits and approves time-keeping reports on a daily and weekly basis.

  • Coordinates process (line flow) changes and daily modifications needed to meet defined production levels and continuously improve efficiency rates.

  • Reports vendor quality issues to Buyer.

  • Interacts with QC on defects, work-around, and resolution.

  • Attends required meetings and conferences.

  • Keeps management informed on any changes, such as part problems, inspection criteria, or improvements to processes.

  • Assigns or delegates responsibility for specific projects, tasks or assignments. Gives work directions, resolves problems, prepares work schedules, establishes objectives, and sets deadlines to ensure the completion of operational functions.

  • Counsels and advises subordinates concerning performance.

  • Coordinates or conducts training of members to improve performance and acquaint members with company policies and procedures.

  • Initiates and/or recommends personnel actions such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and corrective or disciplinary measures.

  • Interacts with HR to report personnel problems and project staffing needs.

  • Conducts interviews of candidates.

  • Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and ISO standards; promoting a safe environment for the health and safety of all employees.

  • May fill in at station or inspection/repair.

  • May be assigned additional duties and/or special projects.

Physical Demands

  • Due to the environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold

Requirements

  • Must be able to work 2nd shift 8:00 pm-8:00 am Monday-Thursday

Experience

  • Supervisory 1+ years (required); Production 1 year (preferred)

Education

  • High school (required)
