Responsibilities

Receives product, supplies and equipment from vendors or manufacturers by unloading trucks

Moves product by forklift, handcart, pallet jack, or similar transports

May sign for goods received

Checks items against receiving documents, making notation on same, and reporting discrepancies to supervisor

Performs daily pre-operating equipment inspection as required and reports any issues to the direct supervisor
-
Places identified product in appropriate temporary or permanent storage locations according to verbal or written instructions and established methods
-
Selects for shipment or transfer designated product by proceeding to area, finding product and verifying information shown on shipping or transferring document against that on stock tags

Warehouses palletized or bulk stock according to specified locations
-
Assists in taking inventories by determining quantities on hand

Restacks and straightens warehouse items; sorts out bad containers and periodically checks aisle and areas for mixed stock or incorrect locations; corrects or notifies supervisor of defective materials or questionable conditions

Follows OSHA standards and adheres to company safety rules and policies and warehouse operating procedures

Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition

Perform related duties as assigned
Additional Requirements
-
Must have 2+ years forklift experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment
-
Must possess OSHA certification (unexpired )

Possess a valid Driver's License and be eligible for forklift certification

Must have a solid work ethic

Ability to effectively manage time and meet set targets and deadlines

Ability to work independently but efficiently coordinate work with co-workers and take orders from superiors

Ability to multitask, prioritize and change direction mid-stream
